ABN Amro closes trim. declining

The Dutch group ABN Amro has reported a net profit of 683 million euros in the first quarter, compared to 774 million euros in the corresponding period of 2000 (+1% on the latest three months in 2000). Decreasing the income, at an altitude of 4.5 billion euros (-3% in both the last quarter of last year is the first in 2000) because of falling financial markets and the global economic slowdown. The title slide, 1, 43% to € 21.31 euros on the Amsterdam bourse.
